Why does my Vauxhall Omega engine light come on, and some other problems?

It is a year 2000 Omega 2.0 16 v. The car has 110000 miles with full service history. When the car is started from cold there is a whirring noise for about 1 minute from the engine which then stops completely. I have been informed that this may be the air conditioning trying to start up although there is no gas in it. The engine management light comes on sometimes and when on the car can lose power for no reason. The exhaust sounds hoarse but im informed has no holes. One garage said my cat was blown, another said it wasn't and they cleaned the lambda sensor which hasn't helped. Also until at operating temperature the engine, or front of exhaust seems to make a tappety noise. Not very mechanically minded so all help and advice appreciated. Thanks

How can I stop caring what people think and just be myself?

I'm 16 and a junior. With family, it doesn't matter if it's at home or in public, I'm this awesome, dynamic person (or so I think) who makes people laugh and dances and basically just does whatever. But at school, I don't know why, I just get all tense and can't loosen up. I can't even talk to people sometimes because I get all tongue-tied. I find myself talking in this barely audible monotone, even with my friends. I can't even laugh! hiya - I had an op under gen. an in Feb. was given morphine at first, then onto Tramadol but they made me itch like mad. I lasted 12 hrs on them. so they put me on Dihydrocodeine. My tummy hurt badly after.Lots of cramps couldn't poo or eat well for 3 weeks!!! Doc moved things along (!) with a laxitive. I put it down to the anaesthetic. I felt normal after a month. Don't know for sure what caused it, but I know exactly how you feel. Hope you mend soon. take care x

That's what I thought of, because it's really hard to end a story, especially like that one, Gosho Aoyama maybe is trying to fit the best endings, and the best ending would be Shinichi will be back to his real body. But is it really a best ending? No, because Conan will be gone, and even if everybody in the story will know that Shinichi is Conan, well, don't you think it's too bad? They will miss the naught wandering kid who's very curious of his surroundings. I think Gosho Aoyama is trapped and is thinking of the real best way to end this story, but I hope it will not end soon, because it's such a great story. Then, Im just curious if Detective Conan is the longest anime running of all times? Is it? 11 years now right? Anyway I think the best ending is not to be realistic, I'm trying to say that the ending should be like this, Shinichi will have his body back then there's a real Conan living out there, so, it's all fun.. what do you think?

Well, the victims would be Thirsby, Miles Archer and Jacoby. Thirsby was a former ociate of the Fat Man, but was now working on his own to try and get the bird. Miles Archer was Sam Spade's partner who got killed when he was shadowing Thirsby. Jacoby worked on the steamer and smuggled the bird into San Francisco and he got killed as he was trying to give the bird to Ms. O'Shawnesey. They all had their own motives and even though they all died I don't think you could call any of them a victim, except maybe for Miles since he was just doing his job. Since there wasn't really anyone in the movie who was innocent, then I guess you could say that there was no one for the viewer to identify with. Same for the production values, everything is dark and there is no sunshine or happy moments or people to trust. Sam has to even keep the police at arms length, at least until he wraps the whole thing up. Everything made perfect sense in the movie. I'm not sure what people didn't understand if they think it didn't make sense.

Hello, does any one now how to fit a anode pack on to a mastercraft x2 2005 .?

Anode pack is a term used for a kit with all the necessary anodes used, and vary with the type engine/drive you have. So to get a better idea of your question we need to have more information. Some boats have a 8.1L inboard with a v-drive, others have a different engines and drives. If you have a prop shaft and rudders you need to protect them with anodes. Zinc if your using the boat in salt water, and Aluminum if if fresh or brackish water. I hope this helps.

Depends on how they die I guess...if it's a evil axe murderer that gets shot to death, I have joy that such a vile creature was stopped and won't have the ability to kill again. If an animal dies in order to save it's master from an attacker then it's sad that the animal gave it's own life to protect someone else, doing such a selfless act. Same could be said for a human doing the same selfless act to sacrifice their own life to save another. But if a wild animal is attacking a family and someone pulls out a gun and shoots it dead to protect their children and family than I'm ok with it. So like I said before I guess it really depends on how the animal/human dies on whether or not I feel sad about it.

I've found some research books with lots of primary sources, but the primary sources are all compiled from different sources themselves. So do I cite both? Or just the book I'm getting the doents from? I've been on Noodletools and the Rice website: they all say that there is a difference between citing a book and a work from an anthology/collection. Would a book of doents from different sources be considered a "collection"?

I would do it if I were u. Your basically giving up rebounds for ists. All 4 players score right around the same amount of points - outside of Harrington. I think it really depends on the scoring and stat's in your league. If Rebounds are 2 of 7 categories with O Boards and D Boards each a category then I'd say no, but if your in a traditional 11 category league or Roto I would definately do it. You have players who get a good amount of rebounds already...(Noah, Durant, Gasol, Side Show bob, Nene, even Rondo) without Green and Harrington. I mean there are so many unknown factors from my vantage point its really hard to make a true essment, but plain and simple Stephen Jackson and Chauncey Billups together are better than 3rd year player Jeff Green and 6th man Al Harrington. I understand if Melo gets traded, Harrington's value increases but that is such an unknown factor at this point.

I recently received money from an arbitration settlement. The reward was based on a 1998 Earthquake insurance claim that was never resolved. In my original court filings, I had only asked for $$ to cover damages to the rental property I own. In the settlement, the Insurance company did not admit to fault. Death Sentence Why do Critics hate good movies??

Went and saw Death Sentence this weekend. First off I was shocked with the reviews this movie is getting it is just being Slaughtered on rotten tomato (16% approval rating) people going as far as calling it “An old-school exploitation picture” (which makes me wonder if they have ever seen an exploitation picture in there life) So not expecting much I went and saw it with my hubby and my parents and WOW this movie was really good. The acting was good, the story line was good, and it was believable (well as believable as any movie can be). The whole movie revolves around this family and this gang there is a lot of character development so much so both me and my mom were in tears towards the end of the film (we had become that emotionally attached towards the characters). There’s not a lot of filler and no pointless why are they there characters. Even though my mom and I were sobbing like little kids the movie had a good amount of blood and gore (flying body parts always make for a good movie) and despite the slow character developing beginning the end is very high action and kept my husband on the edge of his seat. There is a lot of deep seeded morals to this story (not in your face enough to spoil the movie but if you care to read between the lines they are there) my dad came up with the best moral for this movie “Don’t piss off the guy in the suit”. All and All I Loved this movie and so did my Family and maybe 4 people can’t over come the hundreds of bad reviews but I say give this movie a chance you might like it, you might not, heck you might cry like a little baby like my mom and I did, heck if your squeamish (not desensitized to gore like me) you might just throw up.

My parrotlet might be sick.?

I was gone all day today and had asked my mom to watch my parrotlet. Once I got home I asked how he was and she admitted that she had kept him in his family room cage for an hour, then put him in the bed room cage away from interaction for about 8 hours with no contact!!! He was acting kind of sleepy and fluffy when I was leaving, and once I got home and took him out of his cage, he was still fluffed up wherever he walked. He ate a bunch of millet so I ume it's good that he's eating, but I'm afraid he is sick. I have had him for about 4 weeks and I have notices he has a kind of white line around his ceer and his beak gets sortof..... Dry looking. He drinks lots of water and is eating allot of food but is staying fluffed up when I hold him and when he is walking around. This is the first time I have noticed this behavior in him, oh and when he was eating, he was making this weird chirp that I have never heard him do before. Today, I was in the middle of a social studies test and my face became really itchy. I refrained from itching it but then later when I looked in the mirror, it had blotchy red patches everywhere. I thought at first it was an allergic reaction, but I hasn't appeared to go away or fade yet and it is quite a few hours later. By the way, I had the chickenpox just over a week ago, could it be related to that or something? It doesn't look like shingles compared to what I have seen of that. Why is my grandmother experiencing severe short term memory loss when a stroke was ruled out?

After being in hospital due to a reaction to a diuretic(hyponatremia and hypokalemia), which was resolved and grandma was back to prior level(lived completely independent,no signs of dementia), two days later she displayed severe short term memory loss. Perseverates on same 4-5 questions, will ask the same question or make the same statement every 1-2 minutes. An MRI ruled out a stroke, any other explanations? She is on very little medications.

Coping with a "known" soon death. Please help.?

Im seventeen. Since the day I was born I have lived with my grandmother. Over the years we have grown so close. I love her so much, and can't imagin what life would be like without her. In november she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She spent most of novemember and almost all of decemeber including xmas and new years in the hospiable where I live. A few days before xmas she got transfered to a hospitable to far away so we were unable to visit over the holidays. She had family with her though. At the begging of January the cancer doctor gave her "month, months" meaning.. 1 to 2 months at the most. There were no treatment options due to the fact that they said shes had it for over a year. Doctors just kept diagnosing her with other problems. I always knew this time would come but its really hard seeing her become weaker and weaker each and everyday now that shes home. She gets worse everyday but is trying to stay strong. We are all doing the best we can for her. I go to bed everynight and wake up every morning praying today won't be the day. I am finding very hard coping and accepting this change. Im just looking for some advice, and other peoples experinces to make handling this situation better. I know people suggest telling them how much they mean to us, but I could not talk to her about such a sensitive subject with out bursting into tears. I know she already knows, and does not expect that. Anything would help. Thanks so much.

This is the second time I'm posting this Question. I will give as much detail as I can about this painting. It is signed M. ALI. In white. The signature is on the right lower corner. The painting is on an aged canvas. The canvas seems black at first but I believe the black is from the paint. The border of the canvas is paper bag brown. Starting from the top it has a beautiful darker blue almost aqua sky. There are lots of trees in the background form left to right. The picture is of three Africans (possibly) in front of a straw hut. One person is standing, stirring a big pot to the right of it. The other is sitting on a stool (looks like adding to the pot) to the left of the pot. Off to the right of the picture there is a child looking to the hut or maybe in distance. The person stirring is in a pink long wrap with a pink head dress. The person sitting is wearing different color short dressings and the child is wearing a white dressing around the waist. I would ume it is a picture of a mother, father, and young boy. I think it may be an oil painting (not familiar with paints). There are numerous paints used with such remarkable detail. The canvas measures 32x 23”. I found the painting in an abandoned storage auction, not in the frame, rolled in a white plastic trash bag. I can’t seem to find the artist on the web. My dog looks depressed and i'm worried.?

my parents and i went to peru for vacation from july 1-25. and my dog stayed with my older brother. he's 19. it was obvious that my brother brought over his friends like almost everyday and probably went out a lot. my brother plays soccer almost everyday and he plays late, so since we weren't here my dog stayed home alone. my brother says that he didn't go over to his friends house, instead brought over his friends because he didn't want to leave snoopy alone. but either way i feel that he was still neglecting my dog while all his friends were over. and im scared that his friends might have done something to my dog. my dog isn't the same. he seems scared of people. and he's not active. my dad played with my dog a lot, like roughhousing and stuff, and my dog always played along and was happy. but now whenever my dad wants to play with my dog snoopy just walks away. and we also played with him, like making him dance. even though my dog was probably annoyed or something he never complained or whined. but now when we make him stand up on his back legs and we grab him by his arms he cries. or whines as if it hurt him. and my brother called us in peru to tell us that once my dog accidentally ran into the guitar hero drum set and started crying and lifting up his paw. then my brother said that he stopped after a while. every time i want to hug my dog or play with him he yells as if i'm doing something harmful, when i barley even touch him. im really worried that something might have happened to my dog while we were gone, that not even my brother knew about. my parents were thinking of taking my dog to the vet to see if they can do something, but i need some advice on what i can do before we do decide to take him. i just feel that maybe my dog is depressed. but then all the crying makes me think that maybe something else is wrong. if this has happened to someones dog please help, i'd like to know what you did for your dog to help them be better. i know this is a lot but please help. thank you.

Am I the only one who is having a hard time finding a candidate to support based on the current choices available? Is animal cruelty in movies ok?

Well, I was watching "Homeward Bound" the other night, and "Homeward Bound 2", and I noticed that they had really good editting, or there was quite a bit of animal cruelty in a movie. For example, in the first movie, Shadow the golden retriever falls in a pit and is limping at the end of the movie, Sy the cat almost drowns in turbulent water and goes down a waterfall, and Chance gets hit in the nose by a porcupine. In the second movie I don't remember this one as well, but the "bully" dogs get flowerpots dropped on their heads and Shadow and the bully dogs really get into mean looking fights like they could kill each other. I don't know if this is editted, or if the dogs are trained really well, or what, but I would just like to know your opinion on if this is animal cruelty in movies.

Why do I feel tired?

If I go to sleep late around 3/4 am then I can wake up in the morning and become wakened after a walk outside, but then I could go back to sleep until about 1/2 pm. But if I go to sleep at a normal time 11/12 pm it's hard to get up in the morning, a walk won't always wake me up and I could sleep again until 2/3 pm and STILL feel tired... Why is this? Why is my dog starting to show aggression?

My dog recently turned 2 years old, he is a Great Pyrenees and he loves everything! Recently when I take him and my other dog to the dog park, he has taken to picking out another male dog and tries to establish dominance. Sometimes the other dog shows him that he won't back down and could very quickly turn into a fight if we don't intervene and make our dog back down. Other times he picks on the one dog who submits to everyone (even though he's mive, he's loveable). How do I turn touchpad off when I plug in my mouse?

My mom was diagnosed with inattentive ADHD as and adult and my biological grandfather as well. I worked really hard at getting good grades, and up to a point I succeeded. In 6th grade my GPA was a 3.7, then it steadily went down to a 3.6, 3.4, 3.2, 3.3, and in freshman year it plummeted to a 2.4. I'm now going to summer school because I failed the second semester of Algebra 1 (I took honors Algebra in 8th grade early,failed it,and retook it in 9th grade) I tried really hard to finish all my work but things would always distract me,like someone mowing their lawn outside or the birds chirping,or the T.V. going on in the other room so I would sit there doing one ignment for 4 to 5 hours. I always like to doodle on the side of a paper and tap my pen on the desk.I'm really quiet and I don't like to stand out in case I mess up. I've always been really messy and unorganized, my mom would constantly get on me for that. When I talk or tell a story I stutter a lot or talk slowly because the words I want to say come out all out of order, or my kind is halfway on something else. In 5th grade my mom had me go in for behavioral therapy,but they didn't see anything wrong with me seeing as my work load wasn't all that hard then. It started getting worse at the end of 8th grade and all of 9th grade. My mom actually sent in the papers from the therapy I had back then to my current doctor and is making an appointment. Your mom is kinda right, people are gonna do what they are gonna do, but you should not enable the behavior, especially if it irritates you. Think about it like this, if your aunt was taking drugs would you buy them for her? So no don't turn up the music for the mad man. When she starts with her advise, tell her nicely that you would prefer not to talk about it and if she does not stop then leave the room. she will get the message over time, if not, you've still removed yourself from the situation.

Britax Advocate--anyone have one?

My baby girl is currently 16 lbs 8 oz and 27 inches at 9 months old, so she is still well within the height/weight requirements of her infant seat. However, she is starting to fight, cry, and struggle every time I put her in her infant seat (or lay her down in the infant tub or changing table for that matter). A few friends told me that switching to the convertible seat will help because they can sit up (which is what she wants to do). I'm researching car seats, and it seems like the big kahuna on the market right now is the Britax Advocate. Does anyone have one? If so, what do you think? I drive a Toyota Corolla--do you think it would be too big? Is it really heavy to move between cars (my husband is deployed right now so I would have to move it myself if I choose to drive the other car). The price tag is steep, but I'm not basing my decision off of that because I saved money when I was pregnant for a convertible seat some day. I just want the best possible seat. Also, are the side cushion thingys on the Advocate effected by side curtain air bags on your car? Our Scion xB has side curtain air bags

My 2003 Mercury Mountaineer Won't Start?

It had to be jumped yesterday but started and ran fine after that not a problem until this mornin it was really cold last night so we thought the cold zapped the battery but we tried to jump it wouldn't jump then we went and bought a new battery cause the other one was too small. Had it charged and it still won't start the radio and everything comes on but it won't start. it makes one click noise when u try to turn it over. but it won't start any ideas. It started everytime yesterday after the jump with no problem at all.

My dog's tooth came out?

My dogs tooth just came out! It was one of the two largest ones on the top. It wasn't rotted or bleeding or anything. I just found it on the groun because she spat it out. She isn't in pain or anything. But she has a habit of chomping her teeth really hard when she gets excited. Would that cause it? Should we call the vet? I'm not sure yet if she's had trouble eating because this was just a few minutes ago.

How much weight does being on a Varsity sport carry over a JV one?

My school's girls' tennis team is pretty competitive when it comes to making Varsity. The Varsity team's pretty small - only about 12 girls - compared to the 45-strong 2-team JV. I have been at the top of the better JV team for the last 2 years (sopre and freshman), and really want to make Varsity as a junior (this year in the spring). The thing is, there are only 4 open spaces on the small Varsity team, and I'm worried that, even if I really practice the next couple of months, others will beat me out. I want to know how this would look to college admissions offices. Even though I do have other extra-currics, I'm worries that I won't earn a varsity letter for tennis by the fall of my senior year when it's time to apply to colleges (I'm applying to relatively elite schools, such as Northwestern, UChicago, UMich, Notre Dame, and Carnegie Mellon). Why do I as a white college student feel like I am being discriminated against by the minority races at UT?

Okay, so everytime I walk through the lobby in Jester West all the Asians, Latinos, African-Americans, are handing out party invites and expo flyers. The only problem is that they target their race. I'm a friendly student and my stepmother and sisters are Asian, so I try to make friends with every race. What I notice is that when I walk by them they turn their head and act like they never seen me because I'm not their race! WTF! And when an Asian kid walks in front of me they hand him an invite, but right when I go by they suddenly even go as far as looking at their feet!
