Calling all Musicians: basement soundproofing suggestions?

My husband and I just moved into a new condo/townhouse (end unit..thank God!). It has a full basement (not finished) and I'd like to set up my drum kit down there but am worried about the "noise" traveling to my neighbors. I normally wouldn't be THAT worried about something like this, but I like to mic up my kit and those of you who do the same..you know how even though the sound is much fuller, it tends to be A LOT louder. Any suggestions on how I can keep the sound from traveling, keep the quality of the sound (good acoustics) AND not have it break-the-bank. Thank you all in advance. Its greatly appreciated.
